Why would I need an interior designer?
When you are building, renovating or just styling your own home, there are a million decisions to be made. All renovators have been in the situation where midway through the reno, the builder asks what handle you want for the door, the electrician asks where you want the lights, and worse case scenario; at the end of the reno the space doesn't look the way you imagined it.
That's where an interior designer is invaluable. We plan the space so it functions and looks and feels the way you want it to. We love lists, and create schedules of every detail, so trades know what fittings and fixtures are to be used and can be onsite to direct. No more worrying if the new carpet will work with your couch, lights in the wrong place, silver screws in your black handles etc! These details matter, and will bother you if you get them wrong! We are colour experts - we attend courses about colour theory and know how to put together a colour scheme from items around your home, such as a great rug or piece of art that you love.
An interior designer creates spaces that are practical and feel right for the person who uses the space. We show how the space will look using mood boards, material samples and create an agreed concept for the space. We then cost it all out for you according to your agreed budget.
