Pali Market baskets are handwoven in two different villages in Myanmar. This style is widely used by locals (including monks) in their daily lives to carry fresh produce, fish and anything that needs carrying!
Each basket is handwoven from reused pallet strapping and recycled plastic.
Pali Baskets are ethical and direct trade. Pali directly contributes to the well-being of remote villages in Myanmar and the entire community. Baskets are individually handmade and the weavers work in the comfort of their own homes and paid a fair wage. The Burmese traditional weaving methods have been passed down for generations. How amazing are Pali!
